How to cook perfect fried white lentil maash / urad dal simple recipe by zahoor tariq. Maash ki daal, it is also called Urad ki dal. Splited each grain of dal is also called  Phurarry Daal. Delicious and tasty recipe. simple and easy to cook.
It is a main course dish . It is very popular and commonly served in Dhabas, restaurants etc.

METHOD :
1- Wash and soak the lentil for two hours or a overnight .
2- Boil lentil/ daal just five mints. Drain the hot water and put the lentils aside.
3- Heat the oil  fry chopped tomatoes and green chillies.
4- Add garlic paste, chopped ginger, salt, coriander powder, mix spices/ gram masala, chili powder, turmeric powder  and fry well add little water if needed.
5- Add soaked and  boiled lentil/ daal.
6- After little frying add one glass of water and bring to a boil.
7- Reduce flame cover the pot with lid and slow cook till the daal turns soft yet hold shape.
8- Uncover the pot, fry few minutes till oil appears.
9- Frying/ Tarka /Tadka , makes a difference to the final flavors and taste.
10- Heat the desi ghee or butter in a fry pan add dry red chillis round and green chillies. After seasonings  added to the dal then mixed. Cover for one minute.
11- Dish out. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves, green chilies  and lemon 🍋 😋 .

  • 12 -  Perfect Daal Mash serve with chapatti.
